Title: | Metal nanoparticles produced by Pulsed Laser Ablation in Liquid Environment |
Abstract: | Particles in the nanometer size range have attracted increasing attention with the growing interest in nanoscience and nanotechnology. They hold potential as basic components for sub-wavelength optical devices, for surface-enhanced spectroscopy, for biological labelling and sensing, and for cancer therapy. For such applications, it is crucial to prepare metal nanoparticles with desired shape, and size distribution. In this context, Pulsed Laser Ablation in Liquids (PLAL) has become a key method for synthesis of nanoparticles with controlled geometry and size. |
