Abstract: | Research in Computer Vision has grown in interest over the years, up to the point where it became of interest for corporate research. The focus of this thesis is on studies which have been undertaken about designing Computer Vision applications for image analysis and classification in embedded systems. This research was funded by STMicroelectronics, AST Imaging, Catania Lab, and it is part of the activities of the Joint Lab between STMicroelectronics and the Image Processing Lab of the University of Catania. |
