Ectogenesi e identità di genere

Abstract

Il saggio ha per oggetto l'analisi degli aspetti etici, giuridici, sociali e antropologici dell'ectogenesi, futuribile tecnologia che potrebbe consentire una gravidanza extracorporea all'interno di un utero artificiale, dall'inizio alla fine della gestazione. Pur nei limiti di un tema, allo stato attuale, assolutamente teorico, sono state approfondite le eventuali ricadute di questa tecnologia sull' identita' femminile, sulla struttura della famiglia e sulla psicologia e dignita' del nascituro. Uno spazio della ricerca e'dedicato anche al valore simbolico della gravidanza e agli aspetti esistenziali della relazione madre-figlio durante la gestazione.

The thesis is devoted to the analysis of ethical, legal, social and anthropological aspects of ectogenesis, namely a future-oriented technological process whereby an embryo or foetus is biologically nurtured outside of a mother's body for the length of the entire gestational process, from conception to birth. Even if within the limits of a still merely theoretical topic, the thesis deals with the possible upshots of this technology on the female identity, on the structure of family and on unborn child' s psychology and dignity. Within the thesis, a research space has been provided also for the symbolic value of pregnancy and for the existential aspects of the relationship mother-child during the gestational process.
